About Gateway Entry Clone library

Details

Gateway entiry clone library of E. coli ORFs

What is Gateway?

Gateway technology is a cloning method using site-specific recombinase and recombination sites (att sites) of phage lambda. Cloning from entry vector to destination vector is easily done by restriction enzyme-free recombination.
Gateway cloning related products can be purchased from Thermo fisher Scientific.

Utility

Transfer of the ORFs to other vectors, which was troublesome in ASKA Clone, can be easily done using this library.
It is usable in many applications by introducing to the destination vectors of your interest.
  • Exchange of vectors
  • Exchage of promoters
  • Expression of proteins
  • Addtion of various tags
  • Expression in other species
  • etc.
