span18a ncv122 is a tspan18a heterozygous mutant fish. We introduced a mutation in the fourth exon using TALEN method. The fish has 14bp deletion in there. By crossing these heterozygous fishes, tspan18a mutant fish can be generated. We injected TALEN into Tg(sox17:EGFP) background fish. Therefore, the fish expresses EGFP under the control of sox17 promoter.
