Information
1. Melanosomes are expanded slightly even in a light-adapting condition (so called visual background adaptation (VBA) defect).
2. Mutants show reduced optokinetic response (OKR) for several minutes after return to the light from a 45 min dark treatment. The responsiveness is recovered by 30-60 min under the light adapting condition.
Examination of mutant : Mutant larvae (5-7dpf) show weak VBAdefect.
Viability: Adult-viable.
