| Tg(kdr:EGFP) is a transgenic line that expresses EGFP (Enhanced Green Fluorescent Protein) driven by the kdr/flk1/VEGF-R2 promoter (containing 7kb upstream sequence of zebrafish flk1). The EGFP expression in Tg(kdr:EGFP) is detected in the endothelial cells during zebrafish embryogenesis; the EGFP expression pattern is very similar to the endogenous expression of flk1. The process of head vascular development is clearly visualized by the EGFP expression in Tg(kdr:EGFP). |
