| By CRISPR/Cas9 technology, a 13-bp deletion was introduced into a GAP motif-coding site of zebrafish arhgap 24. This resulted in a frameshift mutation and the affected Arhgap24 protein is truncated 35 amino acid residues after the deletion position. Transmission electron microscopy revealed an increase in the width of podocyte foot processes and a thickening of the glomerular basement membrane. |
