Kaga chromosome 10 transferred onto a Hd-rRII1 background by speed congenic method. The Kaga chromosome 10 was confirmed by genotyping using four polymorphic markers, MID1011, MID1024, MID1014, and MID1015. PCRs were performed on a T1 thermocycler (Biometra, Göttingen, Germany) by denaturation at 95°C for 2 min, followed by 40 cycles of amplification at 95°C for 30 sec, 55°C for 30 sec, and 72°C for 30 sec, followed by an additional elongation at 72°C for 1 min after the last cycle. Refer to Hd-rRII1-Chromosome10Kaga Genotyping protocol for marker sequence and band size.
