Name Nana
Sex Female
Species or Subspecies G. g. gorilla
Date of birth 1982?
Place of birth unknown (Africa?)
Current facility Ueno Zoological Gardens
The individual's international breed registry number is 1231, and her international notation is Nana. (Because the individual was informed to be born in Spain, she was called Kokeyta.) After coming to Tobe Zoological Park, she was officially named Nana. However, she is sometimes called Kokei. She has a short and roly-poly body. An artificial insemination with Genta was performed, but the insemination failed.
Because this individual was bred by humans, when a male caretaker guides a female guest, the individual becomes angry and throws something at the caretaker. She likes to eat anything greedily. She was close to Genta and they were like a brother and sister when they were young. After growing up, they were separated from each other.
