Feature
The individual cannot copulate, possibly because he has been hand-reared. After displaying, he enjoys seeing visitors' amazed reactions.
Character
The individual is usually calm. Though not so aggressive as Annie, he is more aggressive to females than to males. Annie, who shares a house with him, is like a younger sister to him, and when Annie is scolded by a zookeeper, he taps her shoulder to cheer her up. He eats small pieces of food such as raisins in a fine manner, putting one raisin at a time to his mouth.
Life history
1988.06.12 Yuta was born at Sendai Yagiyama Zoological Park.
1991.09.23 Yuta came to Himeji Central Park. He was bred by breeding staff.
1992.05.30 Annie  {0410}  moved to Himeji Central Park. Yuta lives with Annie.
2013.02.04 Yuta died.
