Feature
The individual is a gibbon raised by Mr. Gulik at the Netherlands Embassy in Japan. She is a grayish white-handed gibbon born in the midland Malay Peninsula. She came to our institute after its birth in the summer of 1961 at the age of nine months. Although she was purchased by the Medical Research Center in Kuala Lumpur at age eight months, there were some abnormalities in her health, so the center requested that Mr. Gulik take care of her. She was under his observation in 1967.
