Strain Name atg16l1
Type Mutant
Genotype
Affected Gene atg16l1
Origin and Depositor The University of Tokyo (Noboru Mizushima)
Link to ZFIN
Information
atg16l1 mutants (loss-of-function mutation) were generated by CRISPR/Cas9.

5-base deletion was introduced in exon6 of atg16l1 gene by using CRISPR method.
The heterozygous fish was identified by heteroduplex mobility assay using followed primers:
atg16l1-f, TGGAGGAGAAACTGCGCAAAACCACC
atg16l1-r, GTTAGTGACCTGGAGTCCTTCTCGTTC
Mutation:
5’-GATGGCGGAGAAAGCCCAGGAGGCC-3’ Wild-type allele
5’-GATGGCGGAGAAAGCCCA-----CC-3’ Mutated allele (-5 bp)
