About Virtual Display

460 thousand paired end cDNA sequences were derived from 57 libraries and the CAP3 program was used to assemble and obtain 37,138 contigs and 215,199 singlets. We found out the number of clone members of each contig for every library and created a matrix of 37,138 rows (contig) x 57 columns (library) . With this matrix as data, a hierarchical clustering analysis among libraries was performed using a clustering software called Cluster 3.0. In the hierarchical clustering analysis, data with more than 11 clone members were used to standardize. Average linkage was used as a method for clustering and Uncentered correlation was used to calculate the similarity. The results of the analysis are shown as a heat map and we name it virtual display.
