Abstract: We report the use of designer transcription activator-like (TAL) effectors (dTALEs) for gene activation and function analysis in plants. Seven dTALEs tested all induce their corresponding target genes and some trigger disease susceptibility or resistance to the bacteria expressing them in rice. |
