解説 穂首ほう葉は穂の基部の節から出る苞(ほう)で、野生型は包まれない(苞葉退化)のに対し、NL1変異体では苞葉に包まれる。これが穂より長いときには、穂が成熟しても葉鞘から小穂が現れない。PO:0009049; inflorescence.
