The strains maintained at Niigata University will be relocated to Utsunomiya University until the end of March, 2019.
Due to the relocation, we stop accepting request of medaka resources in Niigata University at the end of January 2019.
We plan to restart distributions of the strains from Utsunomiya University on April 1st, 2019.
If you want to receive by March, we strongly recommend you to order strains in Niigata University as soon as possible.

This is our great pleasure to announce the web version of the DVD accompanied with Medaka; Biology, Management, and Experimental Protocols which published from Wiley-Blackwell (ISBN 978-0-8138-0871-0) on 2009. All figures, photos, movies tables and some protocols accompanied with this book has been uploaded. Second version of this book will be published around September 2019. We plan to provide the figures, photos and tables in volume 2 with the same way. There are no main text in this site but we believe this website still contain several important and interesting information for medaka researchers.

We provide Medaka Mutants Phenotype Metadata, which describe the phenotype of medaka mutants using GO and Anatomy terms. This help you to compare the mutants phenotype between different organisms. This database is made by the Database Integration Coordination Program of National Bioscience Database Center.
