Characteristics Using TALEN technology, a constitutive mineralocorticoid receptor (MR)-KO medaka was generated as a mutant with a frameshift at the amino acid #42. Hyper- and hypo-osmoregulation were normal in homozygous mutant medaka. However, homozygous mutants failed to track moving dots despite having an increase in acceleration of swimming.
