Strain ID | TG1248 |
Strain Name | acp5-EGFP |
Strain Type | Transgenics |
Characteristics | acp5 (acid phosphatase 5, tartrate resistant), also known as TRAP, is a glycosylated monomeric metalloprotein enzyme. acp5/TRAP is used as a differentiation marker of osteoclasts. A fosmid clone (GOLWFno144_g15) including the acp5 gene, which was identified from the Medaka ensemble database, was used for homologous recombination. The EGFP-kanamycin cassette was recombined into exon 1 of the medaka acp5 gene. The medaka Cab line was used for establishment of the acp5-EGFP transgenic medaka. The EGFP expression is observed in putative osteoblasts. |
