Nagoya;TgBAC(pax7a:loxp-dsred-loxp-sox5^WT-2A-venus)

Strain information
Strain ID TG1211
Strain Name Nagoya;TgBAC(pax7a:loxp-dsred-loxp-sox5^WT-2A-venus)
Strain Type Transgenics
Characteristics DsRed fluorescence is driven by pax7a promoter. Once recombination is induced by cre at the loxp sites, sox5 (WT) becomes expressed there.
ml-3;TgBAC(pax7a:loxp-dsred-loxp-sox5^WT-2A-venus) (TG1210) was crossed with Nagoya so that ml-3 mutant allele at the sox5 locus became replaced by wild-type allele.
Notes Please note that we will use OK-Cab (MT830) for artificially insemination with frozen sperm of this strain.

TG1211 Nagoya TgBAC(pax7aloxp-dsred-loxp-sox5^WT-2A-venus) Tg(hsp70-cre)
When sox5+/+ WT embryos obtained from crossing the transgenic fish Nagoya (sox5+/+);TgBAC(pax7a:loxp-dsred-loxp-sox5^WT) with Tg(hsp70:cre) were heat shocked, Dsred became barely detectable. Leucophores (Leu) were significantly reduced in the hatchlings treated with heat shock (40℃, 40min) compared with those without heat shock (control) whereas melanocyte formation was not altered by heat shock.
