zmynd10
Strain information | |
---|---|
Strain ID | MT1419 |
Strain Name | zmynd10 |
Strain Type | Mutants |
Characteristics | zinc finger MYND-type containing 10 (zmynd10) gene was disrupted in a d-rR strain using TALEN. This mutant carries a 12-bp deletion in the 2nd exon of the zmynd10 gene. Homozygous mutants lost outer dynein arms in motile cilia that cause cilia/flagella immobility. Motility defects in cilia/flagella lead to left-right defect, sperm dysmotility, scoliosis and progressive polycystic kidney. |
Notes |
Please note that we will use OK-Cab (MT830) for artificially insemination with frozen sperm of this strain. Homozygote is semi-viable, however, it was impossible to obtain fertilized eggs from mating between homozygotes. |
