sox5^N541S
Strain information | |
---|---|
Strain ID | MT1048 |
Strain Name | sox5^N541S |
Strain Type | Mutants |
Characteristics | As a result of TILLING screening, TILLING_MUTANT(ID:1325) (TA1325) was identified as a mutant with a single nucleotide substitution in sox5 exon13. Homozygous mutant embryos and larvae have excess leucophores and lack xanthophores. Similarly, homozygous adult fish have excess leucophores, but unlike at earlier stages, they have xanthophores significantly reduced in number. Formation of melanophores and iridophores is not affected in this mutant. This strain is OK-Cab background. |
