Strain Name | OlTGK2(W368X) |
Strain Type | Mutants |
Characteristics |
OlTGK2 is a possible medaka orthologue for mammalian skin-type transglutaminase(TG1), which is an essential enzyme for skin formation. The full-lenghth cDNA sequences were encoded as a Olgi48d24 (NBRP database) and characterized for its enzymatic property by producing the recombinant protein. By TILLING methods, from the library we identified a mutant at the site of Trp368 was replaced to stop codon which causes inactive enzyme. As in the case of OlTGK1, larvae stage fish is slightly sensitive to higher osmolality solution, containing 150 mM NaCl in the circulating tap water. Data are published in Biosci. Biotechnol. Biochem. 82, 1165-1168 (2018). |
