A 8 bp deletion in exon 4 of BRCA1 associated protein 1(BAP1) was generated by CRISPR/Cas9. This mutation is expected to introduce frame-shift mutation and anticipated to produce dysfunction in the BAP1 protein. Most homozygous mutants are embryonic lethal, and even if they hatch they typically perish within approximately two weeks.
