sox10b^F110L
Strain information | |
---|---|
Strain ID | MT1213 |
Strain Name | sox10b^F110L |
Strain Type | Mutants |
Characteristics |
This mutant, isolated by TILLING screening, has a single nucleotide substitution in exon 1 of sox10b gene. The mutation causes an amino acid substitution (F to L) in the conserved sequence of HMG box. The homozygotes look normal and sometimes survive to adulthood. When crossed to sox10a mutant, sox10b mutant enhances the reduction of pigment cells in sox10a mutant. The original TILLING sox10b^F110L mutant with Cab background was crossed with Nagoya to replace b/b mutant allele with B wild-type allele. |
Notes | Please note that we will use OK-Cab (MT830) for artificially insemination with frozen sperm of this strain. |
