Strain ID | TG1397 |
Strain Name | runx2-EGFP |
Strain Type | Transgenics |
Characteristics | runx2(RUNX family transcription factor 2) is a transcription factor of the runt family and acts as a key regulator in skeletal development. A BAC clone (ola1-019D18) including the runx2 gene, which was identified from the Medaka ensemble database, was used for homologous recombination. The EGFP-kanamycin cassette was recombined into exon 1 of the medaka runx2 gene. The medaka Cab line was used for establishment of the runx2-EGFP transgenic medaka. The EGFP expression is observed in chondrocytes and immature osteoblasts. |
