Strain information
Strain ID MT329
Strain Name ki14, beni fuji
Strain Type Mutants
Characteristics decreased blood cells
Notes We may not able to respond to your request when the fertilization rate is low in this strain. Since the deposited strain was a XX male of dmy(-), we will provide fertilized eggs artificially inseminated with X sperm. Please note that the next generation will all be female. In order to maintain the lineage after the next generation, please breed with males of the other strains such as Cab line.

Phenotypes of the bef mutant. (A,E) Morphology and (B,F) Wright-Giemsa staining of the blood cells in the 4dpf wild-type (A,B) and bef mutant(E,F) embryos. (C,G) Circulating blood cells in the Cuvierian duct of the 4dpf wild-type (C) and bef mutant (G) embryos. (D,H) o-dianisidine staining for hemoglobin in the 4dpf wild-type (D) and bef mutant (H) embryos. The bef mutant exhibited a reduced number of blood cells with normal morphology at the initiation of circulation(A-C, E-G). Staining with o-dianisidine indicated that the bef mutants had a strongly reduced hemoglobin expression(D,H).
