1.2.1.0 checking water quality

  • Tetra-tests are used in Nagoya University to check the quality of tank water (attached photos).
  • If the water contains more than 0.25mg/l of ammonia or 1.6mg/l of nitrite, you had better exchange a part of the water with fresh dechlorinated water.
  • The pH can be an indicator of water quality because it should be influenced by nitrite.
