News Program of the Kyoto University Scientific Expedition to the Sahara and the Surrounding Areas (KUSES) December 1967-March 1968 Introduction For the past ten years, Kyoto University has carried out investigations in various fields of natural and cultural sciences in East Africa. On the basis of thus accumulated data, Kyoto University has now planned a scientific expedition to the Sahara and the surrounding areas as mentioned below.
