Gene Symbol m1 ( Allele )
Gene Name maple-1
Chr.No 3 Map Position 0.4
Gene ID - RRC ID -
Wild type allele - Mutant allele -
Feature Lobes of cotyledon parallel veins distinct. Leaf lobed deeply like that of maple tree usually five-lobed. Flower regularly split pistil sometimes deformed. Fertility low. Japanese. name "tatuta" (Fig. 2-b)
Notes WOX1-ortholog. There is a single nucleotide substitution at N-terminal exon.

Gene Symbol m2 ( Allele )
Gene Name maple-2
Chr.No 3 Map Position 0.4
Gene ID - RRC ID -
Wild type allele - Mutant allele -
Feature Lobes of cotyledon parallel veins distinct. Leaf lobed deeply like that of maple tree usually five-lobed. Flower regularly split pistil sometimes deformed. Fertility low. Japanese. name "tatuta" (Fig. 2-b)
Notes WOX1-ortholog. There is a frameshift mutation caused by a footprint at C-terminal exon. This is created by excision of Tpn140 of m-w alllele.

Gene Symbol mn1 ( Allele )
Gene Name maple-narrow1
Chr.No 3 Map Position 0.4
Gene ID - RRC ID -
Wild type allele - Mutant allele -
Feature Allelic to maple cotyledon very small; leaf filiform; flower narrowly split. Highly mutable reverting to normal.
Notes WOX1-ortholog. A 4 bp footprint in the second exon causes frameshift mutation.

Gene Symbol mn2 ( Allele )
Gene Name maple-narrow2
Chr.No 3 Map Position 0.4
Gene ID - RRC ID -
Wild type allele - Mutant allele -
Feature Allelic to maple cotyledon very small; leaf filiform; flower narrowly split. Highly mutable reverting to normal.
Notes WOX1-ortholog. A footprint in the forth exon causes frameshift mutation.

Gene Symbol mw ( Allele )
Gene Name maple-willow
Chr.No 3 Map Position 0.4
Gene ID - RRC ID -
Wild type allele - Mutant allele -
Feature Recessive allele of maple. Cotyledon with narrow lobes; vein clear. Leaf narrow like that of willow tree. Flower split into five narrow petals sometimes crooked. Usually sterile but anthers frequently contain good pollen. Mutable altering to maple; rarely reverts to normal. (Fig. 2-g)
Notes WOX1-ortholog. Tpn140 is inserted in the tip of C-terminal forth exon. All m-w strains have the same structure.
